Let's just say I'm no friend of Trump or his followers. You say English is your third language, so I'm not sure how familiar you're w/American culture. While it's entirely possible she's a full fledged card carrying MAGAtard, the crowd's become eclectic and has a few bernie-bros in their ranks.

I hope the term "we are the best in the world" will never be uttered again. The entire chain of events is completely unreal and I can't imagine this to have happened anyplace else in the world. Starting from rioters being able to enter the capitol. Be able to take selfies with objects of national significance. And for leading policy makers to leave their laptops behind. You think democrats might have learned something from the private server story of Hillary. This is a clusterfuck so embarrassing it would be buried in dictatorships.
In the main I agree with your post, but for this bit. Compared to a world where large swaths are ruled not by law but by strongmen, and glancing at history... things are still pretty mild here. Yeah, it's shocking in the US. Like pedophilia in the church, the rate is lower there than in the general pop, but we expect a lot more from the church, and our outrage reflects that. Same goes for the "exceptional country".
