Some claim, "we need immigrants, as they will do the jobs Americans won't". Even if true (which I suspect is really a self-serving lie), perhaps that's our fault.

If our employment/benefit policy was "if you don't work, you don't eat".... all jobs would be filled by Americans. (My grandfather counseled me years ago, "if you plan on eating regular, you'd better plan on working". I know from which I speak. Twice in my adult life I was so poor that if I scraped up all of my money, I couldn't afford to buy a pizza. The hunger pangs of an empty belly are a strong motivator to get off of your ass and get a job!)

Our social policies have made it possible for lazy unemployeds to "comfortably sit back and collect a government check"... while immigrants work... "doing the jobs Americans won't"..... HOGWASH!.

Perhaps we don't "need immigrants"....perhaps what we need is to get our lazy tit-sucking Americans to get to work rather than sucking-tit on welfare!

And whose fault is that? That's the result of americans voting and keep voting for idiots that expand the welfare state. Blame the welfare scheme, not the immigrants...

You want to give away "free stuff"? You're calling lazy useless people to your country (and don't forget the useless americans who enter and don't ever leave the welfare state. They are parasites just as the immigrants who go to the US for this reason and they are a bigger part of the ones getting these so called "benefits")...

End the welfare scheme and you will see a radical change in the "type of immigrant" that enters the country... The people that will immigrate will only be the ones willing to take a chance and work hard to be there, because they will know up front that nobody will give them anything "for free".

No welfare state = no need for an immigration bureau.

That will eliminate two problems at the same time: end two useless/ineffective government agencies(one being the biggest source of waste of taxpayer money BY FAR) and stop calling to the country the lazy immigrants, while at the same time stimulating only hard working people to enter the country.
