Absolutely a possibility. This has been talked about for years, and there is nothing in place to stop it. We think there is but there isnt, and it will be at that time they wish that our infrastructure was built to protect such a threat and an attack....if it were to happen you would see extreme total chaos. They can't even stop scammers from making erroneous purchases on our credit cards and stop the 73 phone calls I get everyday from scammers trying to sell insurance to me. If they can't stop that little nonsense you think they can stop a full blown attack on our grid. Highly doubt it.
These things take time, look how it took like a decade for the US to finally start cracking down on all those Nigerian Princes.
