I doubt he said exactly that, but the war's gotta be paid for, so yes, taxes are going to go up -- and by more than they would have if the Republicans hadn't been giving out the fake tax rebates because now interest on the debt has to be paid.

There are hundreds of articles on the topic now. Its going to over shadow him even more than it did Kerry. The best one in my view being the flip flop on Cuba. Was constantly in favor of ending the embargo, siting it many times as a failure. Then he finally addressed a Cuban-American crowd in Florida, realizing he has to have their vote to take the state. Result? Full 100% reversal on Cuban Embargo. First time he ever said that as well.

That's true. Race is the big issue in this election. Don't pretend that it isn't. Buchanan practically called on McCain to go for white racist votes. And McCain is following that advice pretty closely. Look at the ad with Brittney Spears and Paris Hilton. It's not an accident that he puts the images of two young white blond girls together with a menacing black man. He's trying to achieve the same effect as the "call me, Harold" ad by that idiot TN senator.
It's very simple. If all McCain wanted to show was celebrities, Spears and Hilton don't even register in top 100. Number 1 on the fortune top 100 celebrity is Opra Winfrey, and No 2 is Tiger Woods. Do you think McCain's ad would have the same effect by using Winfrey and Woods (or Michael Jordan)?
