I have talked to numerous people who could have written the OP. They typically are not very political and eagerly bought into the carefully constructed obama myth. The fact the republicans ran a sanctimonious jerk didn't help.
Obama's race was clearly the deciding factor for many if not most of these voters, even if it was unarticulated. Finally, they had the opportunity to bury the racial stereotypes and guilt and prove they could do the right thing.
Now it has all turned sour. Obama was probably the least qualified candidate in history, as well as the most radically leftwing. It has proved to be a toxic combination. He acts more like a dictator than a president. His wife seems to have used Imelda Marcos as a role model. If we are lucky and nothing more goes wrong in the middle east, his most significant accomplishment will be to have added a record sum to the national debt with nothing to show for it, other than a stagnant economy.
The assault on private enterprise, freedom and prosperity seems to go on daily. Now his radicalized EPA has announced a rule designed to address a non-problem, carbon emissions, that will triple the cost of electricity. Add that to record gasoline prices and you have a real gutshot to working people. Of course, obama doesn't really care. Like most leftists, he thinks americans live too big anyway. We have no business driving cars and living in big houses. Anyway, more economic misery might provide an opening for even more socialism.
