I'm losing money and can't stop. How do you be patient?

Man, if $700 blows your mind. Then I will tell you that in the past I've made $3000 from $3000 in one day before. :D
Seeing how much & how impatient you like to talk about winning money. Your claim that your making $700 per day doesn't sound at all convincing right now. I don't know if you realize that making $700 or $3000 once, twice, perhaps a couple of times and whether or not that included down days is vastly different than making it day by day on a consistent basis. But anyways, that's really your business. (I am not here to interrogate you or anything!)

Anyone who is making serious money is not gonna let you in on their secret. Nice try thou. Besides, he is being extremely incoherent in his replies which gives me the feeling he is either making a ton of bucks or not nearly enough to support his claim.

Also I already answered I started the day with $900 in my account. You don't really need 10,000. If you think about it why would you put yourself in a situation where you are going to be risking $10k to make $700?

mlawson71 best way forward would be to get a journal going : this would help him get his trading "frailities" out and find what needs to be improved. The truth is, even his method would be turned into a winning method into the hands of any good trader.

It's not what you make, it's about what you keep.
You're definitely right. Also what happened to the career trading forum?

Anyways an update. Today was a big epiphany day. Made $400 in the morning using my swing trading method and lost it all at work day trading and revenge trading. If had kept the swing trade would have been a huge $800+ profit.

Making the realization that I sucked really bad as a day trader but swing trading I may have potential to do well with. My question how does one handle the patience and wait in swing trading for the perfect setup to appear?

My big losses are consistently occuring due to my day trading and being at work. I cannot consistently monitor the market at work so at work swing trading is not possible.

Will be leaving job in 1 month.

That seems to be the issue here. You are distracted by trying to daytrade while at your usual job. Bad juju.

If you're having trouble learning how to be patient swing trading then that's your problem, not your job.

You don't leave a job because you can't figure out how to do anything other than day trade due to psychological issues. That is right ass backwards.
