But this is Comedy Doug. And this is the best genuine comedy thread in ages.
LMAO.

Bwahahahahaha

Maybe you should tell the truth about "hedge fund" manager doug". He is your best friend now right? Sure seems like it from this post. It's either this or the Market gotcha feeling a little desperate. Get the joke. Champion. Roflmao!

Hey, I wasn't the only one sending a few bucks to Nigeria, Citibank did that too!

Nigerian Accused in Scheme to Swindle Citibank
By BENJAMIN WEISER
Published: February 21, 2009 NYTimes

"A Nigerian citizen duped Citibank into wiring $27 million to accounts that he and others controlled, prosecutors said."

P.S.: I know it is offtopic, but more interesting than the "I sent a PM too" posts.

By the way people should look at Doug's offer as a free lottery ticket, you got for Christmas. It costs nothing and a few people might win something...

Quote from Doug Allen:

I'm running a business, not challenging anybody on a school playground. And I'm not wasting anybody's time.

I've had many private discussions with people who have emailed me and PMed me and one thing I've discovered is there is no shortage of quality people here at ET. And what I'm looking for first and foremost are quality people, not just self-proclaimed good traders. I would gladly sacrifice a couple of dollars in return to work with somebody who's trustworthy and humble rather than somebody who acts like an arrogant jerk. And it's not just because the former is more fun to be around. It's because the arrogant jerks are significance driven, and those who are significance driven quite often do stupid things just so they can feel significant.

I guess what it comes down to is choices. Everybody here has a choice of how they spend their time and how they interact with their colleagues. I, along with all the people I've worked with over the years, choose to be respectful and professional. Those who don't choose to act professionally and respectfully tend to weed themselves out from many possibilities in life. They trade opportunity for a momentary feeling of significance, which is what many people on this thread have done. Not a very good trade for people who claim to be the best traders here.

Doug

P.S. I would suggest that your upcoming reply to my post will be an example of you wasting your own time, not me wasting your time. :)

I like you now. It shows passion. So I called you out to see where you stand. Good luck... As you know the best ones are the most arrogant self centered ones. Its the passion that separated the winners and losers and you have shown that we can include you on the winning side.....

Let us know how it all turns out...:)

Quote from negativetrend:

:p

Everyone has passion. In fact, it is most pronounced among Newbies--- Edge is what is needed, not passion. lots of passion on skid row down in the mission district. This guy has no edge, and is so desperate for an edge he has come to elitetrader. You Can't be serious!

Passion and enthusiasm (edge) are two different things. When you call someone out and they answer you have to give them the respect that they are due... edge is no comparison for passion.

Try this out. Go to your wife and ask her if she would rather you be edgier or more passionate and she will answer you correctly. Passion is who you are and edge is what you try to be...

I am not to ashamed to admit my errors like misquoting 1% of 2 million which I found funny in hindsight and truthfully is embarrasing. But with an even more stellar track record otherwise I think its water under the bridge. Passion keeps you going... Newbies have edge which then develops into passion... your assumptions are inaccurate. I admitted my mistakes.....

I look forward to the overall completion of this project. As I said before - Best wishes...

I would be interested in the program and more than willing to supply references and resume. What are the steps I need to take to go further inthe process.
