I'm looking for a GOOD charting package... any ideas?

if you are primarily using time based charts then you can try tradingview...
If you have a CQG futures account(with any broker) you can connect your account from within tradingview and trade at no additional cost ...

pros:
they have best web based charting
dom trading is quite good ...
trading from charts is also good.

con:
no tick chart
no volume chart
no range chart

they do support renko with wicks if that is any consolation

I don't code. K.I.S.S. guy, here.

Surprised to hear you say that. I find... if MetaStock is a "10" for charts, IB TWS is only about 4-5.

What about Multicharts do you not like?

I execute with R-Trader and Fidelity ATP. I tried R-Trade Pro/charts... didn't like it much. Charts too cumbersome.

I have used MC.NET with Rithimic feed in the past and find it pretty good.
The only complain I have is the quote manager which is useless and should be removed.
Also they need a UI refresh ..a little old to my taste.
I wanted a specific feature which was missing and I contacted their support they said it will be available in next major release and there is no time frame they can promise and that was 6 months ago.

Tradingview free version has three nag screens that you have to constantly clear making it unusable for anything but casual use.

Sierrachart is so far ahead of whatever is in second place that's it's ridiculous. There is nothing it can't do if you learn to write C++ code.

Been trying out IB's TWS.... Not bad, but nowhere as good as MetaStock. AND, won't run on secondary monitors. (At least the demo won't. Anyone know different?)

Update, FWIW.....

Still can't run IB's TWS on my 24" secondary monitors. Will run on any single monitor + 2x, 20" monitors. Tried swapping out computers, monitors, video cards, cables, drives... no joy. Just seems to not like my 24's. Tired of wrestling with it... will just have to make other plans. :(
