I'm buying calls

Since stocktrad3r won't update his journal, this morning's snapshot is:

The 85 spy calls are at 1.11 (entry price is 2.85 or so) and the 90 spy calls are at 10 cents (entry price about 90 cents).

W3rd.

Edit: the 85s are at a buck

the fact that he says the DOW has to go here to make money on S@P calls is too funny. He has zero money @ risk. Supposedly he sold all his holdings but mentions that they are running higher every day without him even owning them tells us everything we need to know. This kid is a first class piker!

The rest of us have been saying this for over a year. Welcome to the party.

I dont get it. If you are gambler or a trader then you know a thing or two about odds.

What are the odds a downtrending market will keep downtrending? What are the odds that a bear market of this magnitude will be over in a little over a year? What are the odds the market will rebound with constant announcements of lay-offs and bad news?

I dont know the odds but can surmise that the odds are against the market rebounding anytime soon. The news is not just bad, its horrible. Record unemployment, record debt, layoffs and downsizing everyday.

Is there any doubt in anyone's mind that the market will not reach below 2002-2003 lows at some point in the coming months?

Then finally look at mythical investors like Warren Buffet who have been made a fool by their investments in GE and the banks. If these guys are taking it on the chin, what makes you think you can do better?
