I'm being to hate daytrading

Quote from Joab:

Between

bad fills
slippage
delayed stock openings
platform outages and errors
charting outages and errors
cable outages
computer issues
Data costs
charting costs

and

What's really bothering me today is all of the companies that provide us with all this crap, treat us like dirt.

I'm seriously considering only Swing Trading and I'm a profitable daytrader.

It really is getting to be too much

Assent/Anvil-excellent fast fills suitable for scalping, slippage only attributable to market itself or specialist, no delayed openings, I never experienced an outage, extremely rare- stuck prints or quotes.

Charts-Quote Tracker with IQ feed- reliable, accurate, reasonably priced. Anvil also has it's own basic charts.

Computer-Windows 2000 Pro, Raid 1 parallel hard drives, with removable backup IDE drive. Backup the hard drive with Acronis True Image 10.0. McAfee firewall and virus scan. Actiontec router. Regular update of security alerts on Windows. No problems at all for several years with this set up.

I wanted to clear something up.

1. Tuco is a good company, yes I was having issues with delayed data on the platform that was causing serious issues but overall I still like the company and I would classify them as top notch people (for the industry).

2. My main rant was basically about ALL the technology and all the companies that we must deal with as traders.

Charts
Data
Platforms
ISP's
Computer manufacturers
Exchanges
ECN's

etc...

When we have tech issues everyone blames everyone else and the problem is that I'm just not tech savy enough to figure out where the issues really are and that's were my frustration was stemming from.

Anyways enough ranting and it's Friday so let's hope we all have a better next week.

:)
