No, it all depends on how you say it. Like dancing in a black club, don't do it unless you can freaking dance, can dance? all good. If you say it in the right context it is fine. I get called "the big white nigger" all the time when I visit family in New Orleans, friends are creole. I have shouted the N-word across the neighborhood in black areas and nobody cared.

I had plenty of practice calling uppity guys kaffers in Africa. Quite a lot worse actually but once the shock passes and you give them the "I can be what you think I am, or what I really am" chat, all good.

But he was trying to get away with saying it. When a little kid does that thing where they keep doing something naughty while looking at you it is cute.
