Quote from Americanquest:
Now...do YOU think it is 'age appropriate' to teach kindergarden children about 'master______?'
The bill doesn't do that, and in fact specifies "age appropriate." The bill is primarily about sexual disease education, so for K - 3 it would probably be about what viruses are and how to prevent infection by washing your hands.
You can read the bill here:
http://www.ilga.gov/legislation/ful...DocNum=99&GAID=3&LegID=734&SpecSess=&Session=
Be sure to read the second page of amendments.
And he did say that it was to teach the premise of 'good touch bad touch' but that program is already in place in most schools so that would be a duplicate message..And as pointed out by an earlier poster....this bill did not mention instruction against predators at all...
Actually it does:
"(6) Course material and instruction shall advise
-11- LRB093 05269 NHT 05359 b
1 pupils that it is unlawful for males or females of any
2 age to engage in sexual conduct or have sexual relations
3 with a minor as specified in Article 12 of the Criminal
4 Code of 1961."
