Just like in Nazi Germany, If you work for the State you need to determine when you are going to quit being a useful tool of said State.

We didn't outlaw planes after 911 and we won't outlaw guns after a few kids get killed because of silly politicians.
I do hope newtown is sued by some parents for failing to protect their children. Seeing as how govt mandates children be IN school it's govt's responsibility. They failed miserably and some govt agency needs to pay up.
All of this gun confiscation bullshit can be fought, gun owners just need to write their representatives and call them without end. Gun owners need to be in the NRA as well as the state gun rights groups. Also needed is massive civil disobedience...such as not registering your semi-autos. Rest assurred that if by some chance most of them are registered either at the state or federal level there will eventually be a push to confiscate them.
The republican party will need to grow a pair of balls and outright reject any of this anti-2nd amendment trash. Protecting the bill of rights is the most important thing that any politician should be doing. I wish that some politician would show the courage to tell "Empress Feinstein" that her confiscation bill will be going nowhere, that the 2nd amendment will be respected and "shall not be infringed" actually means what it says.
If "Empress Feinstein's" bill gets passed, then just taking your Glock 19 from one state to another will require filing the appropriate NFA paperwork and several months wait time for permission. Lots of Americans have CCW permits which are honored by neighboring states, so they routinely carry their handguns when driving to other states. A blanket ban on semi-autos is silly. I can see large or external magazines and assault rifles but you mean to tell me a duck hunter can't have a semi-auto shotgun? That's dumb.
These gun confsication fools do not care that you have a semi-auto AR-15 or a duck hunting shotgun. I mean really?? Most of them do not want to scare every gunowner in the country at once, so they come piecemeal.
It seems a lot of the gun ban crowd do not really realize that there are about 7 to 9 million AR-15s variants in the country in civilian hands. They think that just a few "gun nuts" own them and that registering then confiscating them will be easy. I did not even realize how many were out there until I read about it. I mean think about it...the Conn shooters mom a single woman living in a strict gun control state had one. Senator Lindsey Graham sitting right next to "Empress Feinstein" admitted that he owned one...she even looked surprised. This is not even counting the other semi-auto rifles in circulation...HK's, AUGs, SIGs, AKs, Galils...etc.
The original gun ban plan was to slowly divide up gun owners, get the semi-auto rifles, then semi-auto shotguns and then semi-auto handguns...one group at a time. They wanted gun owners to think..."well they are only after the other guys guns, not mine", til finally they came after your gun and it was too late and you had no allies and no strength in numbers on your side. The "Empress" and her minions went apeshit after the Conn school shootings and jumped the gun...now she wants them all at once...registered first, then a few years later to be confiscated.
Do you really think that your semi-auto duck gun will be spared? Just as soon as some nut shoots up a school with a semi-auto shotgun, you will be "allowed" to own a single shot shotgun at best. If all you use a gun for is hunting, then you can just be forced to leave that at a hunting lodge or clubhouse til you need it. The govt can "allow" you to keep a revolver at home...say a .38 special for self defense (to temporarily comply with the recent Supreme court ruling on the 2nd amendment) with a max of 10 bullets...registered each year for a $100 fee. The gun banners will say that there is no need for any other guns to be in your house.
