Why wouldn't they be able to win the cases in court? Most criminal offenses can still be prosecuted even if they're committed out of ignorance. I would assume that most of these cases could be won unless they had insufficient evidence that a crime was committed.

I would expect that type of penalty in the state of Texas. I would expect a much lighter penalty in a state like California. Who knows though, maybe they would surprise me.

Polling places could issue temporary voter ID cards to individuals that have misplaced theirs on election day. All they would have to do is bring alternate forms of ID to prove they are who they say they are. As long as their voter ID is scanned into the database, it would prevent them from voting more than once.

She probably, would have other IDs in addition to her credit card. I went to a bank once, forgot my driver's license but, had other IDs and asked them to ask me about my account. That is one way to prove you are who you are!

There are ride share services for Seniors without a car. One is Dial A Ride and the fee is a very reasonable $2 but, you have to set a time and date with the driver who will pick you up and take you to the pharmacy or grocery store or medical facility. There are other ride share services for Seniors and relatively inexpensive. There is an age requirement of 65 and older. I twisted my ankle 2 months ago and I had a friend drive me over to the hospital.
