Pretty easy, don't take them to Bourbon Street, the Castro, pride parades, etc...you can only shelter them for so long before they're exposed to the real world and the many people that are in it. And I'm assuming "sickness" is referring to overly expressive members of the LGBT community, in that case burger wrappers are the least of your worries...
We weren't on Bourbon Street. And that was in 1979 Mardi Gras, on Canal street. I can only imagine what it's come to in 2014. And burger wrappers in a major chain praising sick behavior that leads to a deadly disease, I object to, as others with common sense do.
