If your FX broker goes under, you'll have to wait until bankruptcy settlement!

Another benefit of currency futures at the CME is you can actually SEE volume! I am not sure how anyone trades retail FX without real volume.

#############

You can see fraction by ECN broker as efx, hotspotfx and some another .

hotspotfx stated that is pure agent
(not trade against clients)
buy have capita lunder 10 mln $

SEC pure agents (in relation to SEC instruments) as AMTD ,OXPS ,SWIM
have market value more more as 1 bln $
each .

REFCO (CFTC) dissapeared in 5 days

Etrade (SEC) loosed 84% in 2007 ,not payed to author 36000 euro prize money for 1 place in trader contest ,but to date by life ...

SEC is more consevative as CFTC

Back to the OP's post and topic title I do agree that you will end up waiting a few years to get your money back. But RefcoFX has made people more aware.

You're too funny forex-forex......

Quote from cstfx:

If safety is your only concern when trading, get a small prime account. You can have one for as little as 250k (less in some circles I now hear) and trade freely.

Really, prime brokerage for 250k?
I am curious where you can achieve that?

Quote from ssss:
