It is indeed. However, the Constitution would tell us we have too big a federal government. That pesky little document the country was founded on has an "opinion" that weighs a bit heavier than yours and mine.

See, I don't believe the Constitiution speaks for itself, I think we read into it what we ultimately desire. It's always been interpreted, and always will be. We all want a rock to stand on, whether that document, or a scripture, or science, etc., but it always comes back to us. So what we have today is what people in power, whether by merit, wealth, inheritance, or accident, wanted us to have.
Ah, I see. And people in power certainly want what is best for us, and not their control apparatus.
And during the coming election, people will get exactly what they ask for . . .
They got that the last 6 years!
The framers were in power once, so sometimes it's true.
