"If you think you actually own the crypto you buy on Coinbase, you are absolutely wrong." ...?

totally agree but 100x apart from alt shit coins not happening anymore. Ship has sailed.
Yeah, I wouldn't be adding at these valuations. I'd say either wait for a deeper pullback (gotta have the discipline to potentially wait a while and watching markets deliver another 3-4 figure returns, possibly) or just DCA. Whatever amount you were going to be putting in, take 1% of that and just buy at market every week regardless of price. Chances are, at least at current prices, the DCA will give you a lower cost basis in the long run. Maybe.

Nor can you prove the opposite, which was his point

1st: crypto market != BTC.
2nd: "probably nobody made" - is pretty much worthless to say. You don't know that and you can't prove your statement in any way. I can say, that plenty of people made those returns. Prove me I am wrong.

Oh come on? You provide your ID in pretty much any financial services organization. That's called KYC. Sold? Ha, wake up mate, instead of talking nonsense try to stick on facts.
I don't disagree, but there's only a handful of companies to which one must provide this level of identification. Financial services companies, utilities, insurance companies... and the list gets thin. Not even Google, Amazon, and Apple demand your license or passport.

Not nonsense, this is fact: The Coinbase database of authenticated and verified users has great value, to governments, corporations, and criminals alike.

Do you have an account with standard brokers? IB? AMP? Others? All of them have my ID, which as you say may have value to other counterparties. What's different about Coinbase? Or it's just the fact that it's Crypto related company?

It is that there is no advantage of cryptos over fiat. Not store of value, not payments, not anonymity. It's a pure form of speculative asset. If you can agree we can move on.

You're talking shit again. Go back to educate yourself and come back after knowing a bit more on a matter.
