The rebels got them from the Saudis according to the version of the story the media is not picking up. As far as who was winning prior to the attack, it was well documented just about everywhere that the opposition wasn't making any headway whatsoever, and that Assad had them on the defensive.

In the article on another thread that had the French intelligence link they stated that Assad's regime had used the chemicals because Damascus was being threatened highly by the rebels and they had to use them to ward off the rebels.

I have read up on chemical stockpiles by various countries and I do not see Saudi Arabia even listed as a possible country that has them?

I would hate to think Obama is really interested in the pipe line you mention and not just the "spanking" of Assad's regime.

I'll find the one about the chemical weapons being given to the rebels, but it's not a relatively "accepted" main stream media site, but given the other articles, it makes sense and fits.

No biggie to me if Allah has to step in and handle Syria. Who here doesn't think that Allah can handle it?
