Surprised nobody mentioned the IV crush associated with any SPY calls if you purchased them Thursday or Friday. VIX dropped substantially and IV got cut in half.

Options are tricky if you are playing them directionally. They're usually reserved for gamblers chasing a lotto ticket and those with small accounts that can't purchase a single futures contract.

If you are using spreads, flies, iron condors, etc thats a whole different ball game.

Yes, the attached chart illustrated it pretty well. Assuming the OP would have to be in deep OTM, longer dated calls, it's an implosion thus far.
