I think this particular quote is the root cause of all conflict in the Middles East and one of the major causes of anti-Semitism. What we have here is an example of “law”. Now that law is based on a religious book. As such, the law is “holy”. Holy law can not be challenged which leads to serious conflicts between people who have a different interpretations of it. The real solution to all of this nonsense is tolerance. People need to admit that they don’t have the ultimate truth given to them by God written down in their books. Once this happens the way will open up towards acceptance and peace.
