If you don't have Bloomberg any more... which software ?

By the way, I checked InFront, they are not covering any Asian exchanges? There are non listed under "market data fees" ...

True. And I guess if money is a concern, I would look at the second-tier established vendors. For example, the Infront product is actually one of the nicer second-tier ones I've seen.

But whichever way, just stay away from the bottom feeders.

I recommend you to look at Eikon Xenith which sells for 100 per month for Realtime currency data and delayed futures and equities. You can add real time data for futures and equities as needed but then need you subscribe to the 150/month package and pay extra.
Thanks Zzzz1. This is exactly what I am looking for.
But 100 dollars / month seem cheap compared to a BBG subscription!
For this price, I imagine you don't have any mobile (or tablet) access ?

True, no mobile access on the "reduced" Eikon version. I rarely have a need for mobile access but if you do need it then that would be a deal breaker...

You should look at the reviews. They had a category for institutional which IB came in first and TS second. Professional was the next level down. Besides TS has a lot of high end institutional platforms and services - like ultra low latency through FCM360, algo/API trading, Bloomberg data feeds, etc.

Interesting.

Well, I admit, its been a few years since I had a chance to use their product, so I can't really remember what was on there in terms of exchanges. Seems odd they don't have Asian exchanges, but maybe that's why I never subscribed.

Interesting product, never heard of Infront. Any other comparable second tier vendors you know of?

I'll have a look through my notes later if I get a chance. At some point I did once go through the market and try out most of the software.

One of things I remember from my brief time using Infront was how well put together their software interface was compared to your typical second tier vendor. Fidessa, for example, is horrible and clumsy to use.... I hated every minute of it.

Only for large sellside banks I hear from insiders. No discounts for smaller outfits. And their support has been so crappy that most those banks are now happy to let bbg pitch and try to displace reuters Eikon.

True, at list price. But unlike BBG, ThomReut is willing to wheel and deal, especially for bundles of products across the enterprise.
