There is no such thing as Palestine.
Nobody cares what the UN declares except for a few terrorists.
The US could save billions by withdrawing from the UN, throwing them out of the country and converting Dag Hammerskold Plaza into commercial retail and condos. The United Nations is as big an enemy to the United States as the terrorists.

In the same way as there was no such thing as the USA before the colonists claimed it, nearly wiped out those who were living there before the Europeans, and named it.
Imagine you are living in a Police state, your land disappearing, your movements severely restricted, civil discussions ignored. What would you do. Defend yourself or accept it.
Don't be such a scare monger. The UN is practically impotent.
