If that is Conservatism then I am no long a Conservative...

Ok, I like that pre-existing conditions can no longer be used to deny coverage. I like that kids can remain on their parents coverage well into adulthood.

But I don't like the mandates, taxes and lack of competition across state lines. Everyone knows that no cost savings can be realized without that competition so the Ryan proposal is a loser right out of the gate.

And I started to get worried... Was Trump going to roll over for this? I mean its just a revision of Obamacare that does not even address the basic problems!

And then President Trump made his *real* position clear. If the bill that reaches his desk does not keep the promises he made during the campaign with regard to Obamacare he will veto the bill and simply kill Obamacare by EO. He mentioned he would blame the Democrats but they aren't even a factor in this now.

Frankly I believe that Ryan and McConnell must go. They are slow walking President Trump's agenda and watering it down to appease special interests. Just kill Obamacare and let the republican hacks in the House and Senate face the music of their constituencies.

It's you can keep your doctor

It's just trump's way of saying "you can keep your doctor".

You can't kill statutory law with an executive order, but you can make a mess and create jobs (for lawyers) with an "EO". Maybe that was what was behind Trump's job creation plan all along.
