If options expire on ex-div date?

Not to put words in your mouth, but it sounds like you're implying that the % is higher in ETFs than single names. Assuming that's true, is it fair to say there's a higher proportion of unsophisticated players in ETF options (vs. stocks)? I'd believe it...same way everyone wants to jump into ES futures starting out.

Are these stats readily available somewhere or is that number based on experience?
