No, statistics clearly show armed citizens create a more dangerous society. Its not even debatable. The US has a huge crime issue. Check the murder rate in a small city like Memphis ( for example ); its shocking. Check the percentage of your citizens in jails.

What a load of bullshit! Did you know you're 5 times more likely to get mugged in London than in Watts, Los Angeles? And btw, Memphis is LOADED with blacks. It's mainly blacks killing other blacks. And our jails? Yes, they too are loaded with blacks. Blacks who can't function in a free society...
It's a PROVEN fact that criminals don't fuck with armed citizens. Further more, OUR Constitution contains the Second Amendment, which was drafted so that the citizens of America could be armed to protect the country from a tyrannical government. Yet few Americans are aware of the dramatic drop, and more than half believe gun crime has risen, according to a newly released survey by the Pew Research Center.

In less than two decades, the gun murder rate has been nearly cut in half. Other gun crimes fell even more sharply, paralleling a broader drop in violent crimes committed with or without guns. Violent crime dropped steeply during the 1990s and has fallen less dramatically since the turn of the millennium.

And here in Florida, concealed carry permits laws were relaxed, and guess what? Gun crime here has plummeted. We have more people here die in pools each year than at the end of a gun.
