If I Was a Trader, I’d be the dumbest Trader on Earth

Energy. pharma, materials.
Most of my trades have been stopped out. I have a few positions on right now, (aside from my big buys of spy and qqq Friday, which I’m not considering part of this new trading thing. But they all have tight stops. Doubt I’ll put much more on for a while.

Maybe semantics but from what I see you are talking about short term investing, not trading.
Yeah probably semantics. I’m not interested in daytrading I’m happy to hold for a couple of weeks to a couple of months on tactical positions

If my goal is to make $20k a year, how many trades would I need to do

have you ever consider doing food delivery on a bike with ubereat, door dash, or grub hub? i did it part time last year during the pandemic while doing my full time job and trading. at first, i was doing it to get out of the house and exercise. but it was addictive just like trading. i made close to $30k last year doing this side hustle.

I actually have not although a friend of mine does it to keep busy.
That was a much more civil answer than my reflexes were telling me to give

Sold my SPY 300 shares at 396.31. This rally isn’t all that strong advancing volume 70% of total volume not terrible but not overwhelming.
So took a profit on my dumbass move. Bought Friday at $389.88. Back to wanting the market to drop. Until I buy SPY back in a moment of madness.
