if i vote obama, will market recover quicker

Quote from Iceman14:

If McCain gets elected, there will be a lot of seriously-depressed Americans who will only exacerbate the recession by continuing to make recessionary or depression-like proclamations to the public (even if it the economy were to improve).

Its not americans that will be depressed so much as the rest of the world. As isolated as we are from the rest of the world they are not isolated from us.That 'beacon of light on the hill' will go out for them if the maverick is elected. As frayed as relations are now i would think they really hit the stinker if maverick is elected.

lessee....Obama's a Democrat..and it was a bunch of Democrats who suggested to Pelosi that the Bailout Bill include a tax on every individual trade...mmmm

Empty promises make a good presidential candidate. While his brother in Africa got zero assistance from his million dollars a year brother in America, you liberals are hoping that he'll get all of you onto welfare with that free health care program, at the same time fix the economy, resolve the energy problem, and win the war that he has no experience in. That'll be too much for a guy who voted 130 times present on the senate floor. Obama is unstable; he has a very confused and insecured mind.

It doesn't matter. The market will do what the market usually does. Until the shit hits the fan again, which it certainly will.

Obama would de a dissaster for stocks. Thankfully he won't win.

You sound pretty sure of yourself. McCain's at 26.5 on Intrade. Looks like this is your lucky day. Why don't you start lifting the offer on it and put some real money behind your words?

Quote from brocklanders:

No, here are the steps... Pelosi would not be president which would be scary.

1. Dick Cheney resigns on November 13th, and George Bush appoints the winner of the November 4th election to be Vice-President.
2. Upon Congressional approval of that choice, Bush resigns on November 14th, and the newly-installed Vice-President gets sworn in as President.
3. The new President appoints his running mate to the Vice-Presidency, and Congress approves.

If you read the Constitution, you will find that the president cannot appoint a vice president without congressional approval. If they both resigned, it would go to Pelosi.
