I'm actually a registered Republican and am ashamed of my party... anything conservative about being Republican is out the window. Well everything other than social issues like abortion, gay-marriage, stem-cell research (from religious fanatics). Fiscal conservatism has died years ago. Anyone defending Bush is obviously not very educated and is a stubborn fellow voting on Party lines. I'm not a fan of Obama, but Bush is a disgrace.

Bush destroyed this country internally and shattered the US image throughout the world.
 
I need to re-register as an Independent. :p But I needed to stay Republican to support Ron Paul in the primaries.

I'm not really a fan of Obama.I like that he was most honest of the candidates about what he was going to do during the campaign and in my opinion he is doing what he promised but i don't agree with most of his policies. I voted against Bush /McCain more then I voted for Obama.Ron Paul was my first choice.When I defend Obama on these forums I am defending my choice to vote for him over McCain.Whenever some one criticizes Obama they need to remember who the other choice was,a 3rd Bush term

McCain also supported and voted for tarp.Here is a man who's biggest Fiscal responsibility talking point was being against earmarks,yet he supported and voted for TARP which had billions in earmarks

as for our 'image' ... our image has only improved in the eyes of our enemies under this administration, because now we are seen as weak and vunerable

Most honest? Is this a joke? Lets see, he takes office in the US Senate and within three months his wife gets a raise that more than doubles her pay. When is the last time you got a raise that more than doubled your pay? I wonder how that happened? His wife's place of employment gets federal money. Where did this money come from. It was earmarked by Obama. His hook up with Tony Rezko was more than known, and extremely crooked and if you didn't know about it, you are more than lazy. Hardly honest. Look at how he won election for his state elections. That should have told you all you need to know. Bill Clinton himself said he has the politcal instincts that of Chicago thug and you actually call this guy honest. Notice he paid off his buddies in the UAW with the car deals that have recently gone through. Thats real honest. Then the fraud said he wont have any lobbyist in his cabinet, and within 24 hours nominates a lobbyist to his cabinet.

BO has been the dirtiest politican we have in the White House in some time. You actually think he is honest. Now that is a funny joke.

well, it could be argued that the US got exactly what it was promised in Obama ... there is some honesty there.
