Cool, so you made some trades on your demo account, discard the losers and post the winners here after the fact. Nobody learns anything besides what a monkey you are. Only an idiot would post his business strategy publicly for everyone to copy. The bits and pieces of information I post here are more than enough for beginners to learn what to look after and which mistakes you should not make.

Besides that I have close to 1k trades per day. If I posted every winner, I would be banned for spamming.

It's possible at the retail level, but you have to have enough equity to support the loan collateral. If you have 15MM+ you can do it. There are more than a few people on this site who are retail guys trading that big.

There you go. Why talk about what big institutions get access to? How is that comparable with what YOU can do?

There is no "consumer loan" with 3% yield. If there is, please point me (a consumer) to one.

Let's stick with what is possible to retailers.

Plus it also depends on the kind of strategy you trade as well as whether the clearing house has enough experience to judge the risk of what you're doing.

It's very unlikely that you will get a fat unsecured loan when you hold outright positions over days or weeks while on the other hand it's not uncommon to get 1:500 leverage if you operate on a sub-second level outright or spread off your risks.

I mean what's the margin on an Eurodollar spread? Like 400$? And while you trade 2m notional these things don't really move, your average P/L swings are +/- 2 ticks or 25$ so you most likely trade 100+ contracts.
That would be 40k for 200m notional and even a low key prop shop would give you 400k buying power aka 1000 cars if you post 50k first loss AND you have a profitable history with them. That's 2b notional for a 50k collateral
