If I buy a foreign stock, can i convert to adr ?

Generally people convert adr to stocks. Is the inverse possible ?

For example, someone have Nintendo stocks from japan and convert to Nintendo OTC markets Adr

Converting ordinary shares to ADRs is sometimes allowed. For example,

Holders of the underlying ordinary shares may request to convert these shares into an ADR. Similarly, holders of an ADR may request to convert to the underlying ordinary shares.

IB will offer this conversion for the shares listed here.

Seems like a small list and Nintendo is not in it. Surely, this only applies to IBKR.

You may have to go to Bank of New York for the biggest list possible.
