Hey I'm not saying the market won't pull back bud.
The entire gamut is overvalued af.
And yes there will be future ramifications of the current damage Covid has wrought.
But with that said... at this point in the game.... the very worst of Covid looking ahead is priced in.
You can eliminate (upgrading) the future effects in any trading code algo by implementing a constant variable as things stand now.
Does that mean we won't crash tomorrow? No.
But it does mean the whole Covid 19 thing has pretty much played its fear factor out regarding the VIX. Yes. Until we get a brave new strain that is. China will wait a few years for that however.

So, when we administer 'coronavirus test' during the cold season, it is only logical to get a spike in 'numbers'. On top of the fact that there is no precise COVID test to the date. This is how they can get the real numbers, but numbers of what? Brilliant simplicity since the masses are incapable of even a simple research.
I am not even going into mutation frequency - a next surprise for those who wait for messianic vaccine.

Yeah, it is like the flu and will go away magically in a few weeks. But over 9 months and a few hunderd thousand deaths later it is still there. Trump lost it's magic.

We're not "without Covid". We have Covid. What exactly are you asking?
My point was the worst of Covid is priced in. The market may go up, the market may go down; its the same as it ever was. Its like 2008, we got through it didn't we? Did we go straight up? No. Have there been significant drops? Yes. The market's going to do what the markets going to do, but it doesn't like uncertainty. At this point in the game, I feel pretty confident most of the "uncertainty" regarding Covid as it exists at the present time has been accounted for. Now if we get some new strain, all bets are off. But we haven't heard mention of that yet. Anything can happen, a meteor could hit next week; but until then, you play the game with the known knowns and the known unknowns. Its the unknown unknowns that you need to worry about. Covid is no longer one of those.
That's such a gross oversimplification of the situation at the VA that it would be disingenuous if thought you were actually familiar with the complexity of the VA.This is way off in the weeds, but veterans care (ie, Walter Reed Hospital) got markedly better when they started issuing private sector healthcare vouchers to the veterans on the long end of the waiting list.
Active duty members also have socialized medicine and Walter Reed is an active duty hospital. The VA system, on the other hand, is its own completely different agency from DoD with its own cabinet head which has suffered from years of neglect, much of it willful under the Bush administration who wanted to brush the tens of thousands of kids they maimed in Iraq under the rug. People like the President (and me when I was on active duty) get treated at Walter Reed. Veterans get treated at VA hospitals, not Walter Reed. Night and day if you've been in both. I've experienced the care in military hospitals which was quite good and volunteer in VA hospitals which can be OK to horrible, and are an entirely different animal. Conflating the two is....well I'll be nice and just ask, now that you know better, to stop doing it.
I'll point out that our families also had access to military hospitals until they decided to contract that out to the private sector. That private sector move was universally awful. My socialized health care, on the other hand, was quite good most of the time. I was lucky to get my daughter, who was born with a birth defect, into our fully socialized military healthcare system before that change, thank goodness.
Which tells us that there is good and bad private sector health care and good and bad "socialized" health care, nothing more. Most of of the VA issues had a root cause of underfunding and under capacity to meet the increase demand the Bush wars caused. So add capacity to a system that's under capacity and of course it will get better, regardless of how you do it. Again, "socialized" is relevant only to the talking heads on Fox opinion and the like who actually know jack shit about that which they pontificate on.
