Total, BS. In order for an economy to thrive, you must have strong middle class.

Yes! I cannot express how correct this is.

Seventy percent of consumption is by the middle class and consumption is what drives the economy.

In order for an economy to thrive, you must have rich people. They are the foundation of the economy and provide for others to participate and grow everyone's wealth. Without rich folks, you take away any chance for an economy to grow and the incentive for people who are not rich to try and become rich.
way too simplistic! But charmingly child like, nevertheless. Really Cute!

I remember several years back the French went on their periodic, regularly scheduled effort to just tax the living Shiite out of the rich. They passed some ridiculous tax. Yes I could google it up but I don't feel like it. Then a few months later they had to repeal because they suddenly learned that a massive, massive number of the rich just up and moved across the closest border. After all, the whole EU structure made it easy to just up and move.

The normal mind would think they learned their lesson but as you can see from the last election there, the loony lefty mind is always right there, just below or above the surface.

Note: This article is an easy one. The headline sort of gives the whole thing away and you can stop right there. Expect to be saying "WTF". Even Bernie might see something problematic there but I am not sure.

This is false. Having rich folks is necessary to have strong middle class. Economies are built from the top down, not the other way 'round.

Well that was in the context of there was a depression to avoid.

My point is wealthy people do not make the market, the market makes people wealthy.
Without wealthy people to pay the middle and lower classes, you have no market.

Folks that think attempting to make things "fair" and "equal" for all doesn't have a negative impact on the country.

Just look at Venezuela, Zimbabwe, Cuba, NKorea... "everybody equal" (or nearly so)... EQUAL AND POOR! Except for the ruling elites, of course.

Venezuela is especially pathetic. Oil is one of the most important commodities on the planet... so important that wars are fought over it. Venezuela has the most of it, and look where they are. Socialism... Pfft!
