Idiot who hates America gets her concert bombed

how can you pray for someone who has died and whose fate has been decided at the very point they die? Isn't that exactly what biblical principles teach? I am bringing up biblical principles because I assume you prayed to the Judean/Christian God.

Give me a break...I've been praying for the deceased/victims in the attack and I'm sure plenty of other "Trumpers" have too. So, quit with the guilt trip! ET has always been primarily a trash talking forum...you know this.o_O

Pop megastar Katy Perry made an impassioned plea for people to “co-exist” and said that “barriers” or “borders” could detract from that goal in an interview following the terrorist bombing at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, U.K. on Monday night that claimed the lives of at least 22 people and injured dozens of others.

In an interview Tuesday on Elvis Duran and the Morning Show, the “Chained to the Rhythm” singer suggested that people “unite” following the tragedy, which occurred as young fans and their parents were leaving the 21,000-seat arena at around 10:35 p.m. local time.

“Whatever we say behind people’s backs, the Internet can be a little bit ruthless as far as fan bases go but I think that the greatest thing we can do is just unite and love on each other,” Perry said, adding, “No barriers, no borders, we all just need to co-exist.”

A suspected suicide bomber identified as Salman Abedi, detonated what is believed to be a nail bomb as concert-goers were exiting the Manchester Arena. The attack took the lives of at least 22 people, many of them children, and wounded at least 59 more.

Grande has reportedly suspended her tour, tweeting late Monday that the bombing has left her “broken.”

Perry, for her part, said Tuesday that “we’re just all loving on each other and we should just stay loving on each other.”

“If this gets out to anyone, I just want to say that I love all of you out there and I just know that some of our fan bases kind of go both ways. Ari’s fans are my fans, and my fans are Ari’s fans.” Perry added. “Tell everyone, ‘I love you’ today.”

Perry’s preference for no “borders” or “barriers” may come from her staunch opposition to President Donald Trump, who promised during the 2016 campaign to build a security wall on the U.S.-Mexico border. The singer was a vocal supporter of former Democratic presidential contender Hillary Clinton, and previously marched in the anti-Trump Women’s March on Washington shortly after Trump’s inauguration.

The 32-year-old star has subsequently entered a new era of “purposeful” pop music and established herself as a vocal member of the anti-Trump “Resistance” movement.

LOL. Just when you think leftist stupidity has reached a pinnacle, they go for a new high. Can we can this stupidity and take it public? Just buy it and stay long.

Maybe this will help you? Dear Lord...may they R.I.P. Dear Lord...please give healing to those who are injured. Dear Lord...please give strength and comfort to the victims loved one's. Lastly, why not pray for people to recover from presumed death...it does happen. Fate is a very complex issue, so I use any FAITH I can muster to help a situation...why not, can't hurt. How about you Mr. D?

I pray for people during their lifetime not when they are dead.

So, do you remember praying for each specific victim in the past before they were killed? Probably not as you don't even know them. Or do you just pray for people (that you don't know) in general when they are alive as I do also? Do you believe in any kind of judgement for those who pass on as they move on to the afterlife? Why not pray for that? I hope you don't think you're special for being better at praying than I am.

a couple of concerns with this point of view. I will tentatively bring up the other side of the argument. I am not advocating that I am correct. I would of course argue that its better to repent and follow and therefore be safe... but...

1. Time may be irrelevant to those outside of our universe and therefore outside of time.
I am not sure there really is a before or after in heaven or outside our universe. So if prayer is effective... the point in our time line when we make the prayer may be inconsequential.

2. the Catholic idea of purgatory is arguably biblical..
there are a few arguments here:
https://www.catholic.com/magazine/online-edition/is-purgatory-in-the-bible
conseqeuently praying for the dead may not be useless.

This is one of them...

I Corinthians 3:11-15 may well be the most straightforward text in all of Sacred Scripture when it comes to Purgatory:

For no other foundation can any one lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any one builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble—each man’s work will become manifest; for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done. If the work which any man has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward. If any man’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire.

No Christian sect I know of even attempts to deny this text speaks of the judgment of God where the works of the faithful will be tested after death. It says our works will go through “fire,” figuratively speaking. In Scripture, “fire” is used metaphorically in two ways: as a purifying agent (Mal. 3:2-3; Matt. 3:11; Mark 9:49); and as that which consumes (Matt. 3:12; 2 Thess. 1:7-8). So it is a fitting symbol here for God’s judgment. Some of the “works” represented are being burned up and some are being purified. These works survive or burn according to their essential “quality” (Gr. hopoiov - of what sort).

What is being referred to cannot be heaven because there are imperfections that need to be “burned up” (see again, Rev. 21:27, Hab. 1:13). It cannot be hell because souls are being saved. So what is it? The Protestant calls it “the Judgment” and we Catholics agree. We Catholics simply specify the part of the judgment of the saved where imperfections are purged as “Purgatory.”

3. Are we 100% sure that what you do while your alive is all that matters and that God would not give people a second chance? I don't know the answer to this one for sure... but there are plenty of people who believe the second judgment will allow those who did know Christ and reject him a chance at salvation.
