I scored 30 and I'm an INTJ

Good news for me as for years I've been telling my wife I'm borderline Asperger's Syndrome. She however has always maintained that whilst I have the social skills of an Aperger's I am otherwise a fuckwit.

By the way, are we aware that this test was devised by Ali G's brother?

Quote from nitinparmar:

The classic test for Aspergers Syndrome is the DSM IV test. I don't know if there is an online one. ASD is a greatly misunderstood disorder. Even the professionals cannot agree on the correct way to diagnose it, the correct constellation of symptoms or the causes.

Savants have a very particular skill or skills. Savants have not necessarily been born with these skills. There have been cases of people becoming savants after a knock on the head and in a well publicised case, after a shock of lightening.

Although it is true that many savants are autistic, they do not have to be.

Autistics are born with Autism. There is no cure. Autism covers a range or spectrum of disorders. Lower Functioning Autism (LFA) deals with people who are profoundly autistic. Higher Functioning Autism (HFA) covers people Asperger's Syndrome. Some people including Tony Attwood believe there is no difference between HFA and Asperger's Syndrome.

The greatest difficulty with many Aspies is that with their high level of intelligence, they can mimic the social norms of their own society just to fit in with others. Many continually struggle to be true to themselves and "Pretending To Be Normal", which is also the title of a book written about Aspies.

Hope that helps.

Exactly....You can't draw blood and come up with an ASD dx's. Just like neuro typical kids are different from each other so is anyone on the spectrum. Social Behavior is by far the leading indicator of how one falls into the spectrum. Some ASD's don't want to have friends and some truly yearn for a friend and just don't have the social skills to propel them into friendships.

I am a father of a HFA who has been taught by me how to make friends step by step. From how to introduce himself to how to actually play. He tries to fit in so hard that when he comes home from school I have to let him stymm for several minutes just so he can expend all the energy he needs to blow out of his system, just from him being still all day long at school. What we take for granted he has so much trouble with. Aside from that he is very intellegent and has a photographic memory. He has changed the way I view life....peace

let's start another thread about what your MTBI type is (if there isn't one already?)...I took a few tests over the years and always scored differently, got a couple books about it too.
I'm surprised people can stick to one type?
