AstraZeneca poised to deliver first batches of COVID-19 vaccine to London hospitals next week

Proactive reports that AstraZeneca (NASDAQ:AZN) will be delivering the first batches of its COVID-19 vaccine, currently dubbed AZD1222, to London hospitals as soon as next week.

A major London hospital trust was told to put other clinical trials on hold so it could prepare to vaccinate health workers the Sun reported.

Health Secretary Matt Hancock said vaccinating health workers was not his "central expectation" although he did not rule it out. In a interview with the BBC, he said, “We want to be ready in case everything goes perfectly but it’s not my central expectation that we will be doing that this year, but the programme is progressing well. On my central expectation, I would expect the bulk of the rollout to be in the first half of next year.”

Last week, a Bristol University study confirmed that the vaccine builds strong immunity to the coronavirus as hoped.

The analyst adds that Purple's unique technology, price points, capacity expansion, and expanding third-party distribution position the company well for ongoing market share gains, even if the industry environment slows from its current pace.

Installed Building Products upgraded to Overweight at KeyBanc 07:11 IBP As previously reported, KeyBanc analyst Kenneth Zener upgraded Installed Building Products to Overweight from Sector Weight with a $120 price target. The analyst cited more favorable growth prospects and potentially higher valuation if its EBIT leverage flows through at a more steady and higher rate. Zener also notes that his analysis of the installation market suggests attractive risk-to-return growth versus new construction companies, especially the home-builders, with share gains and Commercial exposure offering upside potential, while avoiding limiting factors for builders like land and labor.
