Ideas For Now-

Well yes and no. a lot of stocks I buy are not in any index. They are too esoteric. Our last sell SE, a Singapore based Internet gaming/payment and a third thing... What index would that be in International? Internet? Video Game? And what weight? Can't be much. Likewise we used to own Sony. What Index is going to take Sony down...? Japan?

This morning I'm looking at SVA. What Index would they be in?

Sinovac reports positive early data on COVID-19 vaccine

Sinovac Biotech Ltd. (NASDAQ:SVA) announces encouraging preliminary results from a China-based Phase 1/2 clinical trial evaluating CoronaVac, its COVID-19 vaccine candidate, in 743 healthy volunteers.

Data from the Phase 2 portion showed a neutralizing antibody seroconversion rate north of 90% on a 0,14-day schedule (two shots 14 days apart).

On the safety front, there have been no severe adverse events reported.

It plans to file a report on the results and a proposed Phase 3 protocol to China's National Medical Products Administration in the "near future."

It is collaborating with Sao Paulo-based Instituto Butantan on Phase 3 trials to be conducted in Brazil.

I know this name and I know a broker who used to know this name I should probably call him and see if he's still monitoring this stock after all these years. The method of treatment two shots 14 days apart.. rather a pill of course but that's not too much to ask to stop the Covid. And two shots of course is twice the money to the company... unless they are giving it away.

We have put so much money into this and we deserve to sell it for a profit. Extremely large companies that hit on a vaccine are going to be overwhelmed with pressure top give it away for free and indeed some have already promised to do so. Small companies... (I have a small position in INO)... small companies (we have BCRX in this portfolio.).. small companies can charge for this.~si

Dynavax higher after Sky report on Sinovac coronavirus vaccine efforts 05/29

On April 16, Dynavax Technologies (DVAX) and Sinovac Biotech (SVA) announced a collaboration to develop a vaccine to prevent COVID-19. This morning, Sky News reported that scientists working on a COVID-19 vaccine at the Chinese biotech company have said they are "99%" sure it will be effective. In early Friday morning trading, Dynavax shares are up $1.27, or 26%, to $6.11.

Here is the risk. Dynavax's produce is a proprietary CpG 1018 adjuvant in COVID-19 vaccine candidates. That's important we run out the adjuvants but China could play hardball and play dirty.... any collaborator studies will likely evaluate their vaccine with and without CpG 1018 in initial clinical dose-escalation studies, and even if successful Dynavax may be eligible for only a low-single-digit royalty,

So massive insider buy aside... SVA has more to gain. Plus all of China to treat - I iamgfine sales would go directly to the Gov another problem they buy in bulk... but they do pay something.

Wow today is a very exciting day. A lot going on. The set up for our Earnings play is pretty good. The chances for a turnaround Tues are high i feel. The Fed speaks tomorrow at the senate or house (Capital Hill) He as been described as " morose " on the economy in his latest commentary so The Fed Chair will most likely talk back his downcast view of the economy even if it's true. There is also one of those economic numbers Retail that has to look a lot better than the last number and so we can get fooled again... up 7%! But up from what?

You see how we can turn around and say hey we are in a correction... we are getting their quick but these are the tricky times when a Bear Trap can be set. Are we seeing a true second wave or just the 1st one not handled properly.? That's a big question.

REGN it feels like this is the last chance to get on this name. It's so expensive.. it's impossible
what could I buy? I can't even do the math. There is $100 per share upside here perhaps... it really feels that way. 50 shares... 50 X $588 = $29,400 is that possible? Target Price return would be $34,400... That's $5 grand. for a near $30K lay out. And you have to be right on the story.
