I was told to get an air horn. And carry it with me at all times when in the woods. So 1) air horn 2) snazzy little Army belt?
What I want to know is:
Can you go to the market with an air horn strapped to your side and a mask and not look silly?

This is a worse case scenario. Mama bear clearly agitated, cubs eating, cars going by slowly-- watch when Mama lifts her Paw- that's a sign.. I know this- I have a Rhodesian Ridgeback 120 + pounds and he lifts his paw like that just before he beats the crap out of me and tears at my arms...

Fluidigm selected for $37M 'project under NIH RADX initiative 11:13 FLDM Fluidigm announced execution of a letter contract with the National Institutes of Health, National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering, for a proposed project under the agency's Rapid Acceleration of Diagnostics program. The project, with a total proposed budget of up to $37M, contemplates expanding production capacity and throughput capabilities for COVID-19 testing with Fluidigm microfluidics technology. The letter contract provides Fluidigm with access to up to $12M of initial funding based on completion and delivery of certain validation milestones prior to execution of the definitive contract. The RADx program fast-tracks development and commercialization of innovative technologies to significantly increase U.S. testing capacity for SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. Fluidigm microfluidics technology is the basis for several COVID-19 test assays designed to be run on the Fluidigm Biomark HD system. A goal of the RADx initiative is to enable approximately 6M daily tests in the United States by December 2020, many times the current daily testing rate. The Fluidigm project targets a production capacity of more than one million COVID-19 tests per day by the end of the first quarter of 2021.

Well it's August 1. March 13 seems a long time ago. Was it March? I forget. When did the break out happen... everything closed and I've been up in Ct ever since. Longest stretch ever for me in Ct. If I had to rate the living experience of Country over City it's about 70% better in the country. Just easier. You can buy supplies and cook dinner and not worry about Caviar or Postmates arriving 2 hrs late. You use a lot of UPS and Fed Ex in the country so it's no surprise those stocks are way up.
It does come with problems, country living, particularly the weekend house is straining a bit under the constant use. I have been so blessed to fix two major problems for now the air conditioning and the septic-- now I just have this large bear poking around. I've been running the air con every single day and night. This is one of mankinds greatest inventions. Next week I really have to get my HVAC act together and either TT Train this or CARR Carrier this as we head out of summer and ironically into a period where air flow is going to become even more important.
Not air conditioning but fan flow from the outside..Giant fans. There was a really fascinating piece on the news about a Far East study of classrooms and there is a giant vent in the wall and when the teacher spoke in front of the vent so air was passing by her no teacher got sick. But vice versa when the vent was in the back of the room and all the kids germs got swept up in it the teacher was bathed in virus.
Who is going to cut these holes in walls and provide these fans for our kids to be able to go back to school and not endanger any teachers? Train Tech> Carrier? Johnson Controls?
