ideas for cash reserves

i use ib and am looking for ideas for cash reserves. i need to accomplish 3 goals. liquidity for trading, safety since i am over the ib insurance limits for cash,income.
what are others doing since ib is paying 0 interest now? i looked at their efp program but that doesnt seem to yield much for safe plays. looking for ideas for income.
 
trade it. there is no safe way to invest it plus have use of it. hold some overnights in a trending mkt and try to make income to make up for zero rates.

i mostly swing trade and i am cashing in my chips into this rally and will wait for the next pulback so i need a place to park money for a while.
