Ideal specs for daytrading PC

Run the performance monitor and find the bottlenecks. For grins load everything up at once and see what happens. TOS should be the least of your burden probably. Also I assume TOS is a 2D program, so even the built in graphics should be able to do a 2K monitor. As for your speed, do a ping to your server at the broker. Find the bottlenecks there. Could be wifi if you are on that, or the trunk line if you have comcast type connection. Also sometimes DSL can have faulty cards (old) at the head end, and they will replace them for you.

This is with my Tradestation Open with LOADS of Charts when Market opens CPU SPIKES up to 30% and drops to 18% rest of time, b4 930 open its runs at 2% CPU and 24% Ram , when I only had 8GB RAM it ran at 66% Memory

Do you have a SSD Hard Drive? But with TOS, assigning more memory to it can sometimes fix the issue.

Like someone else said, refurbished options from a reputable company are a great option. I have bought 2 refurbished HP desktops at MicroCenter and they work great. Latest one I bought has Windows 10 professional, I7 Processor, 16gb RAM, and SSD. Right around $350.

Assigning more ram should do the trick, but if you do go with a new PC, you should build your own, way cheaper, plus you get to pick all the parts, instead of settling for what they give you.

Thanks, everyone. I'm going to assign more RAM to my TOS. From doing a little more digging, that may do the trick. We'll see. Many thanks.

What happened when you set the memory? To 500 MB or less, then 4 GB?

My IB TWS calls for 1 Gb so I gave it 4Gb, out of 48Gb. I also keep the configuration (screens) at the lowest possible. My config file was 4 Kb of XML. I got it down to 2.3Kb. Loads faster.
