If the states actually do a "verified" recount (not just counting votes, but verifying their legitimacy), that would be OK. Verifying each vote is going to take lots more effort than merely "counting" them.

Simply "verifying and counting" does not account for the possibility of Trump votes having been discarded and are nowhere around to be counted in the verification. Though I know there won't be such a thing, I'd opt for a "do over" on the vote.

This is exacty right. The fraud is likely not in the counting of the votes but rather in the distribution and collection of the ballots.

I saw one story about a guy cleaning up in a church and found votes marked for Trump in the trash. Highly likely there are more. Only a revote would eliminate that.
