Ichimoku Trading

Price action made a dramatic move southward after the ichimoku blog yesterday.

Partial profit has been taken, with remaining positions have stopped loss below the ichimoku cloud.

Trading Strategies (Ichimoku Trading)

Remain bullish with remaining long positions. Continue to look for opportunity to establish long position. Tenkan-sen and Kijun-sen remain levels to be watch out. Will see how the price action unfolds. Stop loss remains below the cloud lo.

All ichimoku indicators are in bullish mode. More important, chikou span break new high for its own 26 periods lagging.

Looking to long only. Current level, with stop loss below ichimoku cloud. Depending how price action unveils, will adjust accordingly

Technical Analysis (Ichimoku Charting)

Price action came south hard, piercing through both tenkan-sen and kijun sen, and it has brought tenkan sen cutting below kijun-sen soon. Chikou span is now hoovering above tenkan-sen, and may look to cut below tenkan-sen and kijun-sen soon. The ichimoku cloud remains thick looking forward, and look to provide good support to the price action.

General view remains bullish. Very much is dependent on the price action itself. Current level or cloud top level will be levels to look at to establish long with stop below cloud lo. Short is not really recommended at such stages.

(On a side note, some meeting later today may have big influence to the price action, not of a concern here though)

Ichimoku Trading Strategies AUDUSD 16-July-2013 #1

Established a long position in AUDUSD. This is based on the price action above the ichimoku cloud ONLY.

The position is established based on reduce risk in terms of sizing.

Technical analysis (Ichimoku Charting)

Tenkan-sen has yet to cut to kijun-sen, and chikou span is still below the kumo cloud lo, though it has now cut above the tenkan-sen and kijun-sen. The forward cloud has yet turned positive either. Except the price action and chikou span above both the tenkan-sen and kijun-sen, the remaining indicators from ichimoku charting has yet firmed up a bull call signal.

Trading Strategies (Ichimoku Trading)

Long position may be established or may start to be established. Sizing may be increased gradually as more confirmation signals from ichimoku charting itself. May look out for tenkan-sen above kijun sen, forward cloud turning bullish, and chikou span cutting above kumo cloud hi.

Ichimoku Trading Strategies AUDUSD 16-July-2013 #2

We continued our update from the previous ichimoku blog post.

Established another position as tenkan-sen cut above kijun-sen a couple of periods back.Stop loss level remains below the kumo cloud. It was about the same time the kumo cloud turned bullish.

Technical Analysis (Ichimoku Charting)

Looking ahead, it would be desirable that kijun sen and chikou span cut about the kumo cloud. As chikou span still below the recent high @ 9300 level, that would be a level to watch out for.

Trading Strategies (Ichimoku Trading)

May continue to establish long as the price unveils with stop loss below cloud lo level. Watch out for reaction at around 9300 level.
