IB's new build is incredibly slow

With the latest build 944 on every order execution a bubble pops up confirming the trade. Is there a way to hide that bubble?

it is a secret message from the resident technical analyst at the firm. it sounds appropriate for a market bubble which is bursting.

I want to let everyone know that we spend non trivial amount of time optimizing interactions in 944 build, and quite a few aspects of it are faster/better than older builds.

Everyone who is experiencing any performance issues with it please reach out to me via PM so we can correct whatever is not working right; this should be a rare event as at large it should be more nimble build than, say, 936.

Negative order IDs for bound orders weren't working in 943.1c, so was told that I needed to upgrade to 944.3. I have and it lags between 2 - 45 seconds and market data is showing as question marks. Is there a fix for this or do I need to downgrade to 936? If so, do negative bound orders work in 936?

Please upload your log file where you see delays via Ctrl-Alt-H and PM me your user name and approx time it happened (I can PM you my IB email if needed). Thanks.

What's the proper method for downgrading to 936? When I click on "Upgrade TWS" for 9369 and run the installer it gives a fatal error due to 9443 already being present. I don't want to uninstall TWS entirely first without checking with you since I don't want to lose setttings, etc..

make a copy of defaulted folder(c:\Jts)

uninstall(custom->select all on all screens)
restart PC, install TWS. copy all those settings folders(they typically named like djgkfjgkfjgf
dojkjkhgk
and located inside Jts.
keep that backup copy above
you might want to restart PC one more time
login as usual. your settings should be there
if not-click File in TWS->open settings file-and pick earlier date(like yesterday)
settings files usually called tws.wed.xml
where wed-is a day of the week

I don't think PC restart is needed, otherwise this sounds right.

jtrader33 please let me know if you'd prefer for someone to call you and guide you thru these steps/get you up and running. Thanks.
