I attempted to short the stock on Friday and then there was a color and a message flashing on the IB system. I cancelled the order and thought that I held no position. Then I received a call from customer service this morning and they told me that my order had been accepted and Im short the stock.

I was just kidding. The IB system has done that to me at times where I place an order, then a flashing color comes up and then it shows no position. Then I get a call from the customer service rep telling me that I suddenly had a position. I have made it regular practice to take specific notes and get screenshots when these events take place.

Im afraid to make orders through the AMEX or the BB on the IB system.
