IBKR Desktop Constantly Crashing on Apple M2 Max with Sonoma 14.6.1 - Need Help!

TWS on windows, make that a tool.

Or Linux.. but why not on Mac? If I'm not mistaken the problem OP is experiencing is w/ the new "Desktop (native)" version... not the Java based TWS/IBGW.

@Ates, is there a specific reason you need the native version (besides cosmetics)?

windows is an universal platform for all trading apps. unless you trade as a hobby, just use the right tool without worrying it will work or not.

It's simple. TWS is old-school, from last century!

MacOS and IBKR are oil and water, but it ran OK on my M2 Ultra. I haven't run IBKR in nearly a year. Has it always been like this? Roll back to an earlier build?

You are confusing TWS with IB desktop.

No I don't just buying daily FOP (call or put).

TWS is very easy. Logon, click on option trader, enter symbol, click on ask, change price near to the model price and transmit to market.

Right click on column headers and configure. Add model price between bid and ask.

Sorry, didn't mean to start a platform war... use any gizmo that suits you.

Have you ever tried this on options on futures? It's not same on my side.

Right, but it doesn't crash (as much). Hammers have been nearly the same for a long time now too... why switch to one that shatters all the time? Lol
