IB without Java?

What technology is this mediation app based on? Java or something else?

Was there any progress on the "lightweight" FIX solution, which didn't require the dedicated circuit and $1500/month minimum?

Java.

We now have the FIX over the internet solution.

There would not be $1,500 per month minimum. We would more likely charge a lower, one time setup fee, but I will have to get back to you once we decide.

Quote from IBsoft:

As a retail (a.k.a. cleared customer) aside from the web-trader and mobile-trader you have the following choices to connect to us:

---

a) TWS and API for both order routing and market data.

---

b) FIX for order routing.

We run an application on your desktop which connects to our market data farms.
You connect to that application to retrieve market data, as if it was a TWS.

We do it this way, so that:
- We don't have to expose the compressed comm. protocol we use for the market data.
- You don't have to change your client.

---

This clears up all questions about getting marketdata with FIX. May I suggest you include a summary of the FIX API in your docs, if not a complete doc?
Thank you for the information.
