IB People: What's the story?

I luv IB, but nobody needs this crap during big market events...

Do any of you know the answer to the following?????

IF I have a stop in before IB's quotes system goes down, is the stop held beyond IB or is the stop held by IB and thus not working if their system is down.

I'm talking ER, ES, Globex stuff?

Thanks in advance.

If your stop is native on the Exchange then it will get triggered even though the client feed is down. Globex has native Stop Limit orders.

Okay, thanks for that info, but the question is more IB specific

"Does IB hold the stops or do they push through the orders to Globex?"

Only if IB simulates a stop for you eg Trailing Stops then if IB's feed with the CME goes down then your stop will not be executed. But if you have a STOP LIMIT order then it will trigger as it is already on the GLOBEX servers.

Sorry for not being clear, but I am talking about a STOP or a LIMIT order.

Not a stop limit....not a trail stop...just a stop or a limit.

Thanks in advance

can anyone confirm whether their quotes for ws, qm, and/or globex eq futs were active on other platforms while IB was down? over here everything looked like it was still active and up on tradestation, spreads, quotes, etc
