IB TWS security token asked after disconnection

You trade a lot if you have time to write such useful posts.

And you are not even frustrated: must be a real winner. Wow!

you don't have to trade that much to have many days when the only one who makes any money is the broker

you don't even have to look at your bottom line

all you have to do is click on the trade log and you know how it went

all I want to know is how much your search for the holy grail is costing me

I paper trade a lot and it is very useful and even at times neccessary to me, but at least I pay more than the minimum $10/per month

how much is it costing me to pay for your endless search for the system that makes money?

Dude, I am sorry if you lost money this week.

It's not my fault. I am making a lot of real money and, in addition, bringing to IB hundreds of new clients, but i don't think i need to report to you.

10 bucks a month? you really crack me up.

You must have some serious mental problem. Seek help.

ok dude, then carry on. If you are bringing hundreds of new clients in that makes it cheaper for me

yes I have serious mental problems

no, it was a very good week and a good gap for me on forex tonight

enjoy the "lot of real money you are making"

good luck with your business,
especially as to how it doesn't interfere with mine

Dude, sorry about the problems.

Trading discretionarily can be very stressful (especially if undercapitalized).

In case look at my automated solution: it can help a lot also on the psychological side.

Wish you good luck too.

Since i complained last sunday, to be fair let me say that this time all was smooth and perfect.

No problems whatsoever.

Good job! Continue this way!

Thanks for keeping us updated. This was a major problem for automated traders (plenty of threads on the web about it), and if we didn't make all these complaints, it probably would not have been solved yet. So, I thank you for complaining, and let's all keep on monitoring it to make sure it doesn't happen again.

All perfectly fine this week too.

Including the holiday.

No rechallenge: all perfect and smooth reconnection ;-))

just curious, for every complaint you make to IB, how much do you actually pay them in commissions? I'm all for testing, but I trade real money and spend real money in commissions, and if you are costing me anything I don't have much sympathy for you.

To gain you sympathy, this month i spent over $750 in commissions alone on 1 account, and even more on another larger one. Hope this makes you feel slighly better:

that's about what I paid, but I wasn't at the beach watching girls in bikinis while my robots did all the work. I was home hunched over the computer entering everything in manually the old fashioned way.

On a more serious note, couldn't you just tell the robot all the numbers and letters on your security token and have him enter it for you everytime IB asks?

Well i have the electronic device, which i guess is made to avoid just that ;-))

Anyway, there would be no necessity, as it now works perfectly. I have been connected through holidays and saturdays and all was smooth and perfect ... no more re-challenge ;-)

(Well, after all blocking a machine with a useless rechallenge would cause, in addition to the anger of the developer, loss of good commissions, and i don't think they may ever wish that ... )
