IB TWS dragging target order on chart

I don't trust dragging order "lines" on charts. Maybe there's a setting I'm missing... but often times the "scale" of the chart along the y-axis changes while I'm in the middle of dragging -- which makes it unnerving to actually release the mouse button. I would not recommend doing this for a security that wasn't highly liquid with a tight bid/ask spread.

It cost me some money, yeah. I got used to it. Just be careful on the release. Your order doesn't change until you release. I find a trackball is a little more accurate than a mouse or touchpad. I am thinking that a gaming joystick would be good, actually. Haven't tried that yet. You can also just click on the order and then use the up and down arrow keys to move it. Then use your "Transmit" or "Update" hotkey as appropriate.

I've tried that. my opsystem does not allows to reprogram the buttons on the gaming pad.
might be that it should be built in in tws to handle it.
one can use a 3rd party applet to mimick to the opsystem the gaming pad as a keyboard, but an unchecked 3rd party tool means a real security risk on the computer.

Hi,

Usually I readjust my target order on charts by dragging the target order with the mouse.

However recently TWS does not grabs the target order so I can not move it with the mouse.
It started from one day to the other.
TWS version 968 standalone,
at first on some of the charts, later on all the charts...

It still works with stop loss orders but not with target orders.

It's a real pain to readjust the order on the orderpanel...

Are there anyone else experiancing the same? Is it a new feature? :)

After a lot of struggling I have found what caused this issue for me. On the hotkey configuration, I had Apply offset to parent checked for target and stop orders. When I unchecked it I was able to drag the orders just fine.
