ib tws down

Today's problem maybe is from the Tech Sunday ( IT like to apply patches & upgrade software on Sundays) glitches.

IB goes down too often. Last time my cable was down, but IB was still down for quite a while even when cable went up.

Should we open a TradeStation account? Maybe when IB goes down we can close our position from TS or trade there?

I am thinking to add DSL & another broker + charting solution. Meanwhile I use IB datafeed for QuoteTracker charting. Use bracker Trader DOM for the emini order execution.

I am looking for the better combination. Any other better solution?

Meanwhile I still have no data.

Is anyone up and running on TWS right now?

I can launch local TWS, but my pages are gone. Restoring prior pages just results in blank screens. Typing new symbols produces nothing except an hourglass for a few minutes. Tried chat, but that doesn't work either. First I got "trying to contact CSR" for two minutes, then "session expired". Since then all I get is "joined general chat" followed by an hourglass for a few minutes then "session expired".

I tried relogging in, rebooting etc... nothing works.
 
Thanks...it's working again now. Everything back to normal and the pages are back...I guess the server I was on farted or something, although chat still doesn't work.
